Stuff Dave is thinking about day by day

Gotta love those Chicago alleys!

There are still minds alive in enangelicalism.

Just to prove that the Italians still put out great film.

This is just a taste of some of the places I have already experienced on this great piece of wonder out west.

“The gifts are rivers of light cascading down from the Father of Light.” James 1:17 The Message

This piece was created by our team at Grace Community in response to an opportunity for Tim and Andrea Brooks to adopt three orphan teens from Trujillo, Peru. My vision was that we have an excellent piece that would communicate the need and vision. The result was that nearlt $25,000 was raised in a few weeks and the girls are here today in the Brook’s family.

I thrive on a project…on a quality, creative approach to church facilities.

Attack the Stack

It stupefies me how fast a stack can accumulate in my deskless workspace. So on a regular basis, I must fortify my will with some good, fair trade, half-decaf (don’t ask or even frown) from Pura Vida and attack the stack!Oooh…I should start a “Dave’s steps to success” site…because I know how to do this stuff.Pointer of the day for the stack: attack at the soft underbelly of that pile by flipping it upside down and dealing 100% with each piece as you flip it over. Works for me.

How to think…

I ran across this book the other day and then just saw it on Craig McNair Wilson’s blog. “How to Think Like Leonardo daVinci”-http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0440508274/teawithmcnair-20Learn to think!

“We know the regular and reliable presence of God’s kingdom in our lives only by acting for God now. We make our moments divine by not postponing acting for Him, but by stepping in action now beyond what is regarded as safe and proper, into situations where only God can help us.” Dallas Willard

Grace at the Movies. This is the kind of thing I do well. This was my brainchild and I worked with a quality team of people over several years to bring 20 or so major movies to the hearts of people.
